Learning to swim 25m is part of the national curriculum. All Children should have achieved this by the time they leave primary school.
Sadly the National statistics demonstrate that we are letting our children down through the lack of availability.
The Pandemic has made matters worse and nearly 1 million children have missed out on learning to swim.
There are waiting lists across the UK for swimming lessons
Whilst will not be able to solve the learn to swim crisis on our own, the birth of Swim House provides the much-needed water time, that takes the pressure of existing facilities.
Our funding team at Swim House continues to lobby for grant funding whilst also generating community ideas that can help fund subsidized swimming lessons for those who need help.
